This is not the best year to be hugging people. (Pandemic!) I’m not even so sure how amazing it is to bump elbows or shoulders with people as a substitute.
I personally stand far away from friends and do air hugs.
Even more likely, I am seeing friends on screens and saying “virtual hug coming at you!” or something like that.
However, maybe you actually live with a drummer you can hug. And maybe your favorite drummer that does NOT live with you would appreciate a little air hugging or virtual hugging today!
Drummers do a lot of good in the world. They lend a beat to our favorite tunes and help marchers keep in synch. They sometimes fill our ears with complex percussive rhythms. They may even be able to lift our moods or help us process emotions! And some drum music helps us relax…focus…even meditate!
