nPinis the ratio of the distance around a circle to the distance acrossnit. To figure out pi, you divide the circumference of a circlen(that’s the distance around it) by the diameter of the same circlen(that’s the distance across it).

nA really large circle has a largencircumference and a large diameter; a really small circle has a smallncircumference and a small diameter. But you know what? In both cases,ndividing the circumference by the diameter results in the samennumber.
