The Kehoe House
DeWitt Bruyn created the plans for this historic house in Savannah, Georgia, and the William Kehoe family paid $25,000 to have it constructed.
At the age of ten, William Kehoe traveled to America from Ireland with his family. The Kehoe family landed in Savannah’s Old Fort neighborhood, which is home to numerous Irish families.
William started out as an apprentice at an iron foundry and eventually became the foreman. His diligence paid off when he eventually acquired the foundry. He rose to become a powerful businessman in Savannah.
He and his wife, Anne, and their 10 children moved into their new Queen Anne-style residence in 1892 after being married for a while. In 1930, his executors sold the house.

Following this, it was a funeral home for 47 years, from 1930 until 1977. Joe Namath, a football player for the New York Jets, held the house from then until 1990. After some remodeling, it became a bed and breakfast.
It is currently managed as a boutique inn by HLC Hotels. It is rated four stars.
The continued presence of various departed Kehoe family members has been a fixture in the house during these years. The residence has been visited by four of the first generation Kehoe Family members who passed away there.
The Lady in White is the nickname for Mrs. Anne Kehoe. She was confined to the second level and battled debilitating arthritis toward the end of her life. Her spirit is most frequently sighted in this area.
She is often seen sitting at a desk writing while rudely waking up visitors. On the edge of their beds, she can be seen sitting. She occasionally appears on the third floor. She would come here to see her grandchildren.
The spirit of William Kehoe can be seen all over the house. On one occasion, he simultaneously unlocked all the ground floor doors.
There have been rumors that the couple’s twin sons passed away at the home. But in reality, two young kids named Anne and Mary passed away with roseola 3 days apart. Because the girls were close in age, they were mistaken for twins.

They can be recognized by their unique qualities. Both of them have blue eyes and blonde hair. They have a playful nature and may frequently be heard running on the upper floors.
They laugh and whisper to one another. At the end of the guest beds, they may be seen standing. One female visitor said she felt her face being massaged. The girls enjoy turning doorknobs as well.
According to reports, rooms 201 and 203 are the busiest right now. In addition to the spirits witnessed, lights flash on and off in these deserted rooms.
When nobody is outside, the doorbell in the house will likewise chime.
