Geographically, Kanchenjunga is encompassed by three territories: Sikkim to the south and east, Nepal to the west, and Tibet to the north. Legend associates Kanchenjunga with the mythical “Kanchenjunga Demon,” akin to a yeti or rakshasa. The mountain also offers breathtaking views from the hill station of Darjeeling. Despite its allure for trekkers, Kanchenjunga presents formidable challenges with difficult access from both the Nepalese and Indian sides, leaving vast expanses unexplored by mountaineers and adventurers.
