After the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, King Charles inherited not only the throne, but also her personal fortune. He does not have to pay inheritance tax. However, Queen Elizabeth 2’s personal assets are worth 447 million dollars. Her own property belongs to her family. Estates held by the Royal Family are not for sale.
Wealth inherited by the Queen
Queen Elizabeth II received $85 million when her mother died, and another $12 million from her husband, Philip. Most of her income came from the Crown Estate.
