Debuting worldwide in IMAX cinemas September 1, Marvel Television’s next project is an ambitious one.
Marvel Television and ABC Studios have released the first trailer for Marvel’s Inhumans, which gives us a better understanding of what we will be getting from the series. Being the third series that both Marvel/ABC are heavily involved in, they went the extra mile in using IMAX cameras for the first two episodes – which will be screened in IMAX screens Sep. 1 – and throughout the series for action set-pieces.
Inhumans have already been introduced in the MCU thanks to Marvel Television’s veteran series, Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD, by bringing characters such as Daisy Johnson, played by Chloe Bennet, to life. With this series it will add another level of inhumanity to the ever-expanding live-action universe by exploring the world of the Royal Family.
Check out the trailer down below.
Marvel’s Inhumans stars Anson Mount as Black Bolt, Serinda Swan as Medusa, Iwan Rheon as Maximus, Eme Ikwuakor as Gorgon, Isabelle Cornish as Crystal, Mike Moh as Triton, Sonya Balmores as Auran, Ellen Woglom, and Lockjaw.
Marvel’s Inhumans will have its first two episodes, which will be directed by Roel Reine, shot with IMAX cameras and will premiere at IMAX cinemas across the world before airing on ABC, who are working with IMAX to make the series, during their autumn season. The series will see Scott Buck as executive producer and showrunner, with Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory as also executive producers.
Marvel’s Inhumans, follows a race of superhumans with diverse and unique powers and explores the never-before-told epic adventure of Black Bolt and the Royal Family, who were first introduced in Marvel Comics by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in 1965. Since that time, they have grown in prominence and become some of the most popular and iconic characters in the Marvel Universe.
The series will air September 29 on ABC, no word on whether or not it will come to Irish and British small-screens yet.
