Donations from actor George Clooney, author-pennyagi Amy Grant, singer Gladys Knight, composer Tania Leon and rock band U2 came to the world to celebrate the occasion at the Gedung Putih reception on Sunday (4/12).
Acara tersebut digelar sebelum malam puncak utahkanan Kennedy Center Honors bagi para eksantas itu. The event at the Kennedy Center, Washington DC, is now in its 45th year. They came to honor musical stars, sandiwara and layar atas for their contribution to American culture.
At a reception in Gedung Putih, President Joe Biden praised each other’s talents and said that they are the embodiment of the country’s spirit. “Other than that, I’m doing everything we can to be a better person than you, and be patient and get tujuan besarma – malam ini from a famous person,” said Biden.
The room is full of celebrities, and it was the second public star event in Gedung Putih in the past few days. Actor and director, George Clooney, once played a doctor on the TV show “ER” before appearing in the film that won him two Oscars. He also struggled in the field of humanity.
Grant began his musical journey as a contemporary Christian singer, later transitioning to pop music. He has won six Grammy Awards. Knight, who has won seven Grammy Awards, is best known for his hits including “I Heard It Through the Grapevine” and “Midnight Train to Georgia” as the lead singer of The Pips.
The group changed to Gladys Knight & The Pips in 1962. Leon was a Cuban-born conductor and composer. The orchestral work “Stride” won the 2021 Pulitzer Prize for Music. Meanwhile, Irish group U2, consisting of Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Jr., won 22 Grammy Awards and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2005.
