Believe In Yourself Key to Achieving Your Self-Confidence

If you do not believe in yourself, do not hope someone else does. Only if you believe in yourself, you can offer others something they can believe in.

How many opportunities have you left behind, how many ways have you not gone. You have doubts, fear, and complexes. And this makes you suffer in your life instead of living a happier live it.

Therefore, you must believe in yourself. Because even if others seem to do it, this does not count if you do not do it yourself first. It does not help at all if you are told how much you are worth if you do not believe it yourself.

There is good news! It is never too late to take the reins into your hands. It is a complex learning process, but it is possible to learn to believe in oneself. In the following, we will show you a few simple strategies that help you to believe in yourself and gain confidence and confidence. With them, you will discover all that is in you.

1 – self-confidence can be learned.

“Low self-confidence isn’t a life sentence. Self-confidence can be learned, practiced, and mastered–just like any other skill. Once you master it, everything in your life will change for the better.” –Barrie Davenport

If you are not aware that you can learn to believe in yourself, then you will not reach it. It is just like learning a new language. Would you start learning a new language if you were not convinced you could learn it? When you start to learn something, it is because you have self-confidence that you can make it. If you do not trust, you will not achieve anything. If you believe in yourself, you might not reach it, but you did not take the chance to try it. Self-confidence can be learned, do not forget. With a lot of effort and training you can reach it, you just have to try it.

“The person who risks nothing, does nothing, has nothing, is nothing, and becomes nothing. He may avoid suffering and sorrow, but he simply cannot learn, feel, change, grow or love.
Chained by his certitude, he is a slave; he has forfeited his freedom. Only the person who risks is truly free.”
― Leo Buscaglia

2 – Shut that inner negative voice

Each of us has a self-critic in himself. This comes in the form of the inner voice. It watches us and our actions and likes to comment. Sometimes loud, sometimes less noisy.

We all have an inner voice that reminds us of our limitations, our fears, which reflect all the criticisms we have heard so often in childhood and youth. Stand up to this inner self-criticism and give yourself a jerk. Remember that you decide and not that voice that expresses so many accumulated, toxic experiences.

Our inner critic can be very strict as it often provokes feelings of guilt, but you can face it and be courageous by remembering that he is no more than someone who is constantly repeating this news from your childhood. Stand up to it and make this inner voice mute. This is why one should occasionally question that self-critic. For this inner voice often torped us with negative messages, with reproaches, so we confess their great influence on our self-confidence and thus on our self-assurance.

This power of our self-critic is often already characterized by our environment during childhood. For example, if a child is continually confronted with accusations and negative criticism by his parents, the self-critic also develops in this form. And this usually has an influence on us for a lifetime.

3- Avoid Negative People

You are the average of the people you spend most of your time with. If your environment consists of ambivalent people, you will lose your ambitions. If your friends are mediocres, you will become one. If your friends are  bullies, you will soon become  one. This is how it works. The people around us have great influence on us more than we are aware of.

Surrounding yourself with inspiring people is therefore an important step away from the negativity. You need friends who have a positive attitude to life. That colors on you and they make it easier for you to be positive.

I recommend that you question your relationships. If you are with someone that pull you down or makes you feel bad about yourself, it high time to let them go.

4- Transform Your Weaknesses into Strengths.

Transforming a weakness into strengths requires a certain degree of creativity, but it is possible. In addition, it makes it easier for you to find new, incredible opportunities. Remember that every mistake, every difficulty and every obstacle we encounter can be a great avenue   that can bring us new opportunities and lessons.

Analyze your weaknesses, discover your fears, and change your attitude. Only so do you free yourself from the shackles that keep your wings bound.

5- Do Not Compare Yourself To Others

We tend to compare ourselves with other people. We compare jobs, income, cars, attractiveness, relationships, intelligence, courage and much more.  Comparisons give us orientation in a complicated world. We want to know where we stand.

But I’ve learned that comparisons are unhealthy. They make us unhappy, load up feelings of guilt and gnaw at our self-confidence. There is always someone who has more money or wealth and is more attractive or courageous than you.

We only see this one aspect and feel inferior. But a person consists of more than one facet. If we compare ourselves, then please with all facets. This gives a much more balanced picture. But it would be even better to focus on ourselves. For self-esteem comes only from ourselves

6– Motivate yourself

You do not need anyone to motivate you, to improve your mood, or to remind you of what you can do. A little help does not hurt, but you should learn to be self-sufficient and emotionally independent. All you need to hear; you can say it to yourself in front of the mirror.

Instead of treating yourself badly, start treating yourself with tenderness and hope. Get positive and optimistic messages to help you, because there is nothing better than speaking positively into yourself. We human beings need incentives that make us face the adversities of everyday life, and we often need to seek that within ourselves. When we are motivated we become more open and able to develop and allow ourselves to higher levels of learning, where we improve skills and competences and that brings us closer to our desires.

 7 – Change your thinking

The first thing you should do is believe that you can change the way you think and consequently change the way you feel and act. It is largely related to how you can accept, monitor, regulate and create what you think. You have the ability to decide what you will or will not accept and follow what appears in your mind.

The way to change your negative thinking to positive thinking is so simple and basic that you will be amazed at the effectiveness. It is important to know our thoughts, for they influence how we feel, act, our physical reactions and motivations. If the interpretation of life event is wrong, we may have negative thoughts and dysfunctional behaviors. For you to see “light” at the end of the tunnel changing the way of thinking in order to be able to flow through situations in a more efficient way, without wasting time and energy giving a confused emotional and focusing on what really needs to be made to achieve your goals.

And that’s when I discovered that by making only one change in my way of thinking, modifying my thoughts, changing the way I see the world and the things around me, everything in my life would change, and to my surprise for much better than I imagined.

8– Discover your real potential

One of the motives why many people do not believe in themselves is that they cannot pursue their restlessness and cannot develop their passions or have done so depending on the approval of others. Get rid of these limitations and find out what your talents are, discover what your real strength lies in.

Embark on the adventure of doing what you have always wanted to do and not having to start with the idea you once had or to realize the plan you always dreamed of, but you never succeeded. Discover your qualities, your talents, your light pages and start expanding them. The great truth is that if we do not exploit our potential, we will not be able to discover our true abilities, and also, what we are capable of accomplishing in our life. The curious thing is that the vast majority of people are not aware of their potential, and for this reason they never explore it. Constant learning is a way that can help you explore more and more of your potential. People who achieve results are always looking to learn something new, so they can apply innovative concept in their lives.

And because they are in constant search, they end up exposing themselves to a greater number of experiences, compared to the majority, who do not make any effort to learn something new.

The more experiences we have – especially through learning the more we can explore our potential in other areas, whether in our personal or professional life, thus raising our self-esteem to the fullest.
