As you can notice today will try to update all award winners so will have a record registered in the blog. Now is the turn presenting the winners of Iceland’s cinema top awards.
Not long ago, on Sunday, February 28 the Icelandic Film and Television Academy (IKSA) had their awards ceremony and to anyone’s surprise, Hrútar (Rams) swept the night when won 11 awards! The 2015 Cannes Un Certain Regard Award winner have been collecting many honors in the festival and award circuit and yes, film was Iceland’s submission to Oscars.
Worth mentioning that awards are given indistinctly to cinema and television, so you will find that some top awards are given to TV Show actors and/or crew.

If you’re a blog regular you know all you need to know about Rams, perhaps what I can add is that is an “hilarious comedy” which as expected, has slowed me to watch film (lol). So let me share the trailer of a TV Show that has already been sold to many territories, Ófærð (Trapped) and yes, it’s must-be-seen for me just because who created the series (10 episodes), the director is none than one of my most favorite filmmakers: Baltasar Kormákur!!!
